Hi there! I’m Catherine — thanks so much for stopping by.

I started freezeornot.org as a personal project, born out of my own trial-and-error experiences in the kitchen. Like many people, I found myself wondering “Can I freeze this?” more often than I’d like to admit. Sometimes things turned out great… and other times, well, let’s just say I learned the hard way.

I’m not a professional chef or food scientist — just someone who cares deeply about reducing food waste, saving time (and money), and making the most of what we already have in our kitchens. Over time, I’ve researched, tested, and collected practical tips about freezing all kinds of food — from fresh herbs to entire meals.

This blog is a place where I share what I’ve learned, in hopes it helps others avoid the same freezer fails I’ve had. My goal is to keep things simple, honest, and as helpful as possible. If a tip saves you from tossing out good food, then I’m happy.

Thanks for being here — and feel free to reach out, share your own freezing wisdom, or ask questions. I’m always learning too.

Warmly,
Catherine
